Radiofrequency facial rejuvenation using Syneron fractional sublative

This treatment owes its popularity to excellent results.

Ever since the concept of sublative fractional resurfacing was introduced in the market, the demand for this treatment has increased constantly.

Energy is delivered to the skin by using small electrodes on the surface of the skin which create microscopic penetrations in the skin to allow energy to flow in, while sparing the surrounding skin. After running through the surface layer of the skin (epidermis), energy is pyramidally distributed into deeper structures where it selectively heats deep skin layers (dermis) and acts there, which makes it an excellent choice for combating scars, stretch marks, loose skin, wrinkles or pigmentations.

This treatment owes its popularity to excellent results visible after the first treatment and its benefits include quick resumption of daily activities.

Depending on the condition of the skin being treated, this type of treatment is often combined with various chemical peels. Post-treatment redness continues for 2-5 days and then the results of the treatment become visible immediately.

Who is eligible for this treatment?

  • Persons who wish to remove their wrinkles – especially in the periocular region;
  • Persons with pigmentation problems;
  • Persons with acne or acne scars;
  • Persons with wide pores in their skin who wish to improve their skin quality;

Facial rejuvenation by peeling.

A chemical peel is a technique used to improve the look of the skin. A chemical peel is a technique used to improve the look of the skin, normally on the face, neck and arms. The agent is applied to the skin and causes exfoliation of the surface area, thus detaching this skin layer. New and regenerated skin is usually smoother, shinier and less wrinkled.

There are three basic types of peels:

Superficial, lunchtime or quick peel: a mild form of acid is used that penetrates only the most superficial parts of the skin and causes gentle exfoliation of this skin layer. This treatment is normally used for slight skin irregularities or mild pigmentations, but also by people who would like to improve the quality of their skin, but lack of time makes them ineligible for stronger treatments.

Medium-deep peel: a somewhat stronger acid is used compared to the mild peel, which penetrates the middle skin layer and removes damaged skin cells. This treatment is normally used to treat liver spots, fine wrinkles or relatively strong pigmentations or skin keratosis.

Deep peel: stronger forms of trichloroacetic acid and phenol are used to penetrate deeper skin layers. It is used to treat deeper wrinkles, liver spots, prominent pigmentations, scars and significant skin irregularities. This treatment results in a significant improvement in the condition of the skin, but also takes more time to recover.

Which skin conditions may be treated by a chemical peel?

  • Acne scars
  • Signs of skin ageing – dermal atrophy, wrinkles, liver spots
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Melasma
  • Scars
  • Skin damaged by overexposure to sun

What to expect after the treatment?

Each chemical peel treatment is followed by redness and then exfoliation, which removes damaged skin cells. In case of a mild peel, these changes do not last long and will normally disappear within a few days. If a stronger agent is used, bubbles and crust may appear on the skin. After the treatment, it is important to treat your skin as instructed by your doctor. Any exposure to sun after a chemical peel is strictly forbidden.

During the consultation, the doctor will assess the condition of your skin and select the most adequate treatment to address your problem. It is important to allow sufficient time for healing and notify the doctor of your upcoming plans.
